I'm Felix, one of the three founders of VoltStorage GmbH, a Munich-based startup with more than 50 employees. In 2016, together with Jakob and Felix, I founded VoltStorage. Our vision was and is to make renewable energy available around the clock to enable a green, sustainable and fair future. As experts for flow batteries with a multi-technological approach, we develop next generation batteries across the entire range of applications and contribute significantly to the energy transition.
To support our large project, I am looking for a
(Senior) Embedded Software Engineer (gn).
You will be part of our software development team and take care of the communication between the hardware board and our battery.
Tasks
- Developing firmware for our next generation iron-salt battery, based on our in-house developed hardware board (ESP32).
- Evaluate overlapping firmware tasks for our vanadium-based batteries (in terms of code), working closely with our vanadium firmware developer
- Advancing the dockerization of the CI pipeline
- Support the startup and testing phases of iron salt batteries
Requirements
- Several years of in-depth C++ experience (modern C++)
- Object oriented approach
- Experience with embedded systems (ESP32 preferred)
- Applied UML knowledge
- Experience in testing
- Experience with hardware virtualization (Digital twin) is a plus
- Business fluent English skills
- Knowledge of German is a plus
