Tasks

As a Legal & Compliance Assistant, you are going to work closely with the Legal and Compliance team assisting them with their day-to-day duties. In this role, you will be exposed to most of the areas the team is working on to gain experience and knowledge.

  • Drive administrative and record-keeping processes within the team
  • Review and draft basic legal documents
  • Research and stay up-to-date with developments in multi-national regulatory online gambling regimes and ensure mitigation of potential risk and/or compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Help with the compliance of responsible gambling and AML practices across the business
  • Support the legal & compliance team with all firmwide compliance matters such as customer and supplier issues and Anti-money laundering (AML) and client due diligence (CDD)
  • Assist in systematically creating, updating, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals
  • Collaborate with the team in providing advice and training across the business
  • Support with the management of regulatory reporting processes and liaising with authorities when necessary
  • Work with the team to obtain and maintain gaming licenses in several jurisdictions by managing license applications by ensuring compliance with license conditions and requirements
  • Assist in updating, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing compliant customer terms and conditions, and advising internal stakeholders about customer complaints and disputes
  • Draft, review and negotiate compliant contracts with games and payment services providers and other suppliers whilst maintaining systematic contract management
  • Assist in making sure content and brand protection by registration, maintenance, and renewal of intellectual property rights.

Requirements

  • You are a recent graduate from a Law School or similar qualification
  • You have some work experience (internship, traineeship) with the desire to deepen your knowledge further
  • You have a keen interest in learning or developing your understanding of the iGaming industry
  • You demonstrate a down-to-earth personality who is hungry to absorb all the knowledge and skills from the seniors in the team
  • You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • You have the ability to be self-motivated and take ownership in a dynamic environment with a positive, can-do mindset
  • You take pride in being quality-oriented with a keen eye for detail and coming up with creative solutions
  • You are approachable and an effective communicator across all levels of the business and influence key internal and external stakeholders, and provide expert advice to support the strategic agenda
  • You have great solving skills with an optimistic approach
  • You have the ability to display a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
