We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven HR intern (6 months) to assist our People's team with administrative and HR-related tasks. The position will be based in our Munich office and is required to come to the office (at least 3 days per week).

Tasks

The HR intern s responsibilities include

  • updating employee absence records, filing HR documents accordingly in our HRIS (Namely and Rippling)
  • initiating background checks on shortlisted candidates, and providing suitable recommendations to improve HR policies
  • assisting in drafting employee communications, and notifying employees of policy and procedural changes
  • Other HR tasks assigned by managers

To be successful as an HR intern, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in labor legislation to determine how company HR policies may be affected. Ultimately, an outstanding HR intern should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills.

What you will be doing:

Recruitment

  • Managing our EU and Germany job posts from creating job descriptions, publishing them on our ATS (we use Greenhouse) and closing job posts once they are filled
  • Assisting HR Manager, Recruiter and Hiring Managers on screening incoming candidates' resumes and application forms to identify potential candidates.
  • Configuring interview plans on Greenhouse and coordinating interviews between candidates and hiring teams

Onboarding:

  • Coordinating new hire orientations across the EU and the US

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Assisting HR Manager, EU on compensation projects, including but not limited to gathering up-to-date salary data from a variety of internet sources and benchmarking against our internal bands

HR Admin and HR Information Systems:

  • Updating company databases by inputting accurate new employee contact information and employment details.
  • Assisting in the planning of company events.
  • Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.

Requirements

What you'll need for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field.
  • Proven experience working in an office environment.
  • Working knowledge of German labor laws
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Fluent in both English and German (at least B2.2)
