Job Description

Req ID : 1684584

This is a Singapore-based role for CSP SG.

The Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (Singapore) Ltd. (CSP SG) is an independent non-profit focused on advancing social and environmental sustainable development through sustainable finance, with a unique focus on the private wealth space.

CSP SG is uniquely positioned because it is:

  • Supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS);
  • The first to offer an IBF-accredited course in Sustainable Investment Management; and
  • Amongst the first entities recognized by MAS and the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) as committed to developing IBF-accredited training programmes in the identified TSCs.

CSP SG is the first major global expansion of CSP at the University of Zurich, a highly successful academic research and teaching institution that has a distinctive edge in bringing together wealth owners, investment professionals, scientists, and policy makers to generate knowledge and to mobilize capital toward impact.

CSP Zurich developed out of the Impact Investing for the Next Generation programme launched in 2015 at the Initiative for Responsible Investment at Harvard Kennedy School.

The CSP platform is deeply integrated in the private wealth community globally, including via deep partnerships with key investor networks such as Toniic and The ImPact, and key groups at leading universities ranging from Harvard University to MIT and the University of Zurich.

The work of CSP addresses three barriers in steering capital to impact:

  • Knowledge
  • Capabilities
  • Support networks

These barriers are addressed through:

  • Research into the key questions of sustainable finance and private wealth
  • Trainings that translate actionable insights into practice
  • Engagement that amplifies the work of CSP and its partners

As the Head of Trainings Wealth Owners, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategies for rolling out CSP SG s portfolio of training programmes focusing on wealth owners, particularly HNWIs and family offices, and actively growing this exciting portfolio throughout the Asia region.

This is a highly interesting role for anyone interested in driving outsized positive impact globally and in a very dynamic growth environment, as you are responsible for a uniquely powerful established suite of programs within the CSP platform.

Tasks

You will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading projects from ideation to completion within the Wealth Owner workstream. This role requires interactions with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.

Programme Development, Management, and Execution (85 percent)

  • Planning and execution of recruiting processes including tracking leads in the CRM, coordinating marketing materials, and communicating with program candidates.
  • Coordinating curriculum planning and learning materials with internal and external stakeholders, which includes curating content already developed by CSP Zurich and adapting it to the local context.
  • Be the trusted ambassador of CSP SG to participants: Represent, communicate, and guide program participants before, during, and after programs on their impact journey.
  • Form, expand, and develop partnerships with relevant external stakeholders and partners for the workstream.
  • Ensure that all trainings are delivered on-time, with the highest quality, within scope and within budget.
  • Lead training sessions as and when required.

Management and Operations (15 percent)

  • Manage the budget for the Wealth Owner workstream, in close collaboration with the Managing Director and/or Head of Operations.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress of training activities and report to the Managing Director, as well as to the Advisory Board of CSP Singapore.
  • Financial administration and contract management as required.

The candidate will report to the Managing Director of CSP SG.

Requirements

  • Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident with a University degree in Economics, Finance, International Development or related field.
  • A minimum of four to six years of progressively responsible experience is required, particularly in the fields of project management and training.
  • Previous experience in designing, developing, or delivering training programmes. Experience doing so in the finance or sustainability context is a plus.
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) / Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) / Completion of Competency-Based Assessment Course / Experience is a plus.
  • Ability and affinity for doing project management work.
  • High level of self-leadership and self-organization in dealing with a highly dynamic and growing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with subject matter experts across different disciplines globally.
  • Excellent English communication skill (written and oral) is essential. Good communication skills in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Comfortable using a variety of software including MS Office, Asana, Slack, Odoo, etc.
  • High attention to detail and standards of work quality.
  • Trust-worthiness in handling confidential data.

Benefits

  • Be part of a very results-oriented, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, science-based, and fast-moving global team that is highly qualified and deeply intrinsically driven for the advancement of sustainable development.
  • Be embedded in a global community of impact-minded academics (e.g., Harvard, MIT, Oxford), practitioners (e.g. private banks), and investors (e.g. ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families).
  • Be part of an important movement and have a tangible impact on sustainable development.
  • Gain knowledge, experience, and a network in sustainable finance.

To apply, please submit (1) your CV, (2) your cover letter where you outline why you are interested in this role, where you see your fit, and how you would proceed in the first 100 days in the role, as well as (3) an example of your work (article, business plan, pitch-deck, etc.).

Note: please upload both (2) and (3) under 'Cover Letter'.
