How you will make an impact

• Driving the innovation of MMS (mobile mapping systems) from first concepts to well-engineered mechanical solutions on new and existing products
• Designing assemblies and parts in CAD with high complexity and cross-dependencies
• Assembling prototypes to test and improve your designs
• Defining materials and manufacturing methods
• Designing for manufacturing and creation of technical drawings
• Creating BOMs and supporting the supply chain team during the manufacturing process
• Improving our development environment and infrastructure together with the team
• You will not work on a strict requirement list, but actively help to (re-)define the requirements

What will help you succeed in the role

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Well-established skills in CAD modelling (ideally Inventor)
• The ability to create detail-oriented technical drawings representing the requirements of your designs for the subsequent manufacturing process
• A broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods
• A keen interest in learning new technologies that advance our product
• Basic hands-on skills for shaping our concepts and ideas into prototypes
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high degree of independence combined with team player abilities
• English is our office language, that's why we need you to have good written and verbal English communication skills

How we will know if we are a perfect match

Your recruiting partner for this role is Rina (she/her). You can expect to go through a screening call, and up to 3 rounds of interviews with different members of the team, focusing on your technical experience and skills (around for example ideation & product concept development & Manufacturing techniques), expectations from the role and NavVis, communication skills, and team fit. As one step in the interview process we will ask you to demonstrate your mechanical engineering skills in a little challenge which will give you a realistic understanding of the day-to-day challenges you will face at NavVis! After successfully going through this process, we hope to make an offer that would convince you to join NavVis!
