Solas Capital s goal is to support society s transition to a carbon-neutral economy by developing sustainable finance products that have a double bottom-line investment objective. Headquartered in Zurich, with a branch in Ireland, the company has a European outreach. To support the company's growth and deployment of a new European sustainable energy fund focusing on financing energy efficiency projects across the EU, we are looking to fill the role of Portfolio & Fund Operations Associate based in Ireland.
Home office working is possible. Part-time can be considered, with occasional travel required.
Tasks
- monitoring a portfolio of energy efficiency and behind-the-meter renewable energy investments incl. cash flow monitoring, project and impact reporting, credit reviews
- overseeing financing agreements with project partners, document reviews, ensuring financing conditions are met, and co-ordinating financing drawdowns
- preparing detailed investor reports including performance metrics for projects
- managing day-to-day fund operations together with the investment team, and fund service providers
- supporting the investment team in managing relationships with external project partners
Requirements
Candidates must have:
- 5+ years of related work experience this could be in fund operations, portfolio management, controlling, or credit risk
- enthusiasm for sustainability and climate impact finance
- excellent track-record in previous roles
- strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with remote investment team
- ability to work autonomously, and be able to prioritise effectively
- fluent in English and permission to work in Ireland
- third-level degree or masters
- willingness to occasionally travel to Zurich, or to meet project partners
Candidates may also have:
- industry experience in the energy, legal or banking sectors
- solid understanding of debt financing and/or credit risk
- interest in the transformation of the energy system with decentralized renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions
