Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Factory software is at the core of value creation, it is crucial to our society. Creating factory software is exceedingly difficult. HappyOps is solving this problem. We strive to build and run powerful data-driven applications that help factories answer questions, reduce waste, and increase performance. In order to do that we build software modules using a variety of cutting-edge technologies. Our applications run in multiple factories across Europe and across different industries.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join the team.

You will add your own talents and experience to the team: together we will push the envelope and move the boundary of what is considered possible in the space of advanced software systems on the factory shop-floor.

Tasks

• You will refine and create business logic based on various technologies and programming techniques
• You will compose and wire up UI components to implement simple and intuitive user interfaces that facilitate complex interactions of man, machine, and material on the shop-floor
• You will create, operate, and maintain infrastructure for monitoring and servicing apps deployed in demanding factory environments
• You will create, customize, operate, and maintain integrations to third-party enterprise software and factory hardware (including machine controllers and sensors)

Requirements

We seek an outstanding candidate, who is highly driven, smart, confident, and gritty. Our perfect match is hungry to learn and enjoys working in fast-paced environments.

• You have at least 5+ years of experience working as a developer, ideally on full-stack applications and contributing to open-source projects.
• You are familiar with Typescript, React, ExpressJS, NodeJS, Functional Programming and end-to-end testing.
• Having knowledge of industrial protocols or experience in industrial IoT is a plus.
• You are a pragmatic engineer. You love challenges and you have a roll-up-your-sleeves and get-stuff-done attitude.
• You have excellent analytical skills, you are diligent, have a great attention to detail, and you are able to consistently deliver results under pressure.
• You value close collaboration with the Founder, to shape the product together.
• You are fluent in German, and business-level English.
