Global PR Specialist (UK Remote)

This is an important full-time position that we are looking to fill immediately or as soon as possible, based out of our office in Green Park Reading UK or in remote.

Tasks

• You assist the with the further development and expansion of our connections with the global IT and channel press, particularly in the UK and the US, as well as other relevant media, including intensive contact management with selected media partners.
• You create appealing PR material such as press releases, press kits, and technical texts; and liaise with our Design team for the appropriate images.
• You coordinate with different internal teams to provide the right answers to different media requests on time; and coordinate interview schedules as needed.
• Your write case studies, testimonials and other success stories; you complete and submit compelling award applications; and compile and edit newsletters to our different audiences.
• You liaise with regional marketing managers in assigned geos to make the most of PR opportunities within the area.
• You look after the press at national and international trade fairs, events and assist as needed during the events.
• You confidently and professionally help manage one or more PR agencies in terms of excellent coverage.
• You work with the social media team to increase the visibility of the company via social media channels; and help identify bloggers and influencers in the industry.
• You log and report on achieved PR activities (e.g., award applications, press releases, review campaigns) and results (e.g., media mentions, interviews, award and recognition).

Requirements

• You ideally have a degree in journalism, PR or marketing. Experience in B2B marketing and communications will be considered an asset.
• You have a very good network of editors, journalists and other multipliers (influencers, bloggers) in the IT industry, particularly in the UK and/or US.
• You have an excellent writing style, a very good feeling for language and enjoy writing texts (in English).
• You have an eye for detail and love proofreading and copy editing.
• You have a very good technical understanding, ideally in the IT environment or cloud security; and can translate technical content into concepts that are accessible to different
  audiences.
• You love conducting research, learning and keeping yourself up-to-date about the sphere/s you operate in.
• You tackle things proactively and prefer to have tasks done today rather than tomorrow.
