Your role and goals

As our inhouse SEO manager, your responsibility will be improving Productsup s organic visibility in our key markets. This is a role within the fast-growing marketing team and we view it as an essential component of strengthening our position as a market leader. We are looking for someone to take ownership and deliver results while working with and educating the rest of the team on how to drive organic campaigns at scale.

In your first 3 months you will:

• Get to know the Productsup platform and competitor landscape, as well as the organisation, the marketing team, and the structure and workflows within it
• Complete a thorough assessment of our current SEO-position: strengths, weaknesses, competition, technical set-up, and gap analysis
• Improving our tracking and measurement system, deciding on relevant metrics
• Create and get buy-in on an SEO strategy with challenging growth goals for the first 3, 6, and 12 months

In your first 6 months and beyond you will:

• Own responsibility for the strategy and execution of all organic search projects
• Analyse and regularly report on SEO channel performance, leveraging the relevant toolset and developing tactical next steps to drive organic acquisition
• Work with the PR & programs teams to develop link building strategies and build valuable backlinks to the website
• Work with our internal website manager and an external agency to improve technical / structural aspects of the website, if & when needed
• Update existing content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings
• Work with copywriters to create required content to meet SEO goals

What you bring to the team

• Up-to-date knowledge of search engine ranking algorithms and effective SEO tactics
• 3+ years of experience successfully managing and implementing SEO initiatives (this includes having managed SEO deliverables such as keyword research and mapping, best practice guidelines, content strategies, and technical SEO)
• Experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, SEMrush and Search Console, as well as SEO technologies like keyword & competitive research tools, crawlers, etc.
• Experience with multi-regional, multi-language SEO projects
• Excellent commercial, analytical, communication, and research skills. You are driven by results.
• Fluency in English, and nice to have one other European language, preferably German, French, Spanish, or Italian
• Experience with Contentful is a plus
• A drive to learn, improve, and contribute to the team
