Chemical Laboratory Assistant

Tasks

• Analytics and synthesis in the laboratory
• Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment
• Setting up and monitoring experiments
• Recording live data from experiments in a lab journal and entering the data into a computer post experiment
• Preparing solutions and working with hazardous materials, such as acids and other chemicals
• Stockroom duties (to include glassware washing, inventory control, safety data sheet management, general cleaning, waste management, and other duties as assigned)
• Obtaining supplies or equipment as required and/or directed

Requirements

• Necessary education/scientific knowledge/background in chemistry
• Experience in analytical equipment and general laboratory equipment
• Attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Fully competent in German and English preferred
