Job Description

We are looking for an HR Associate to join our team and support the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources department.

You will be the first point of contact for employees, accurately answering HR-related questions. Your responsibilities include processing employee data, assisting the hiring process and updating company policies.

This is an onsite position located at our office in Essen, Germany.

Tasks

  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in the recruitment process: prepare job descriptions and coordinate with the global recruitment team to search for potential candidates; manage candidates through the interview process, gather feedback and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Review and update employment and working conditions (Visa process, work with Immigration Authorities, etc.) to ensure legal compliance
  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies
  • Support on agendas/ travel arrangements/ appointments for other employees

Requirements

  • Interest in the field of HR-Administration/HR-Generalist/HR Specialist (or comparable)
  • Knowledge of HR functions (Long term visa application, pay & benefits,
    recruitment, training & development etc.) and understanding of the German labor law are preferable
  • Excellent language skills in English and German, both in personal conversations and in written communication
  • Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Solid organizational skills and detail-oriented working attitude
  • Ability to prioritize and reassess needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team-player mentality
  • Completed vocational training or a degree with a focus on Human Resources, (Business) Law, Business Administration or comparable would be an advantage
