As a Data Engineer, you lay the foundation for Data Scientist, Analyst and AI/ML professionals to do their job. You use your skills to create software solutions around data.

Tasks
As a Data Engineer, you'll help our customers along their journey to create modern data platforms. You will leverage your expertise in all project's development phases using wide range of data related technologies. This is what it looks like:
- Data pipelines: You architect, design and implement stages of complete data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, storage, computation) leveraging modern data stack focusing on data streaming and (near-)real time processing and cloud solutions
- Strong & Reliable Partner: You provide expert consultation for our customers
- Teamwork: You are self-organized, committed and work in cross-functional agile teams
Requirements
Do you keep the pace with the ever-expanding data engineering technology ecosystem? Do you have critical and analytical thinking skills? Do you enjoy working in agile teams and yet you could work independently and assume responsibility? Cool, then you still need on the technical side:
- Proficiency in developing distributed data pipelines using public cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in data streaming solutions (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, ...)
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Event Driven Architectures, Event Streaming and Event Sourcing
- Thorough knowledge of RDBMS & NoSQL concepts (SQL, Document Stores, Column Stores, ...)
- Experience in software engineering (development of projects based on the microservices architecture using Java or JVM languages and frameworks like Spring is preferred)
- Bonus: You have some of these additional skills or knowledge:
- Experience with Elastic
- Experience with Cloud technologies and DevOps
- Python programming skills
- Experience with Data Governance and Visualization solutions
- Fluent in English and either German or French
