We are searching for an ambitious solutions engineer and visionary who helps connect the dots, be the information hub and bootstrap new technology initiatives as the right hand of our CTO Dominik.

As the central person involved early in zero-to-one projects, you understand yourself as someone who can marry business problems to technological possibilities. You have the technical capability to break down challenges and map their solution space through the whole stack from delightful user experience to fsync.

You have the ability to translate business needs into a target architecture, prototype them in a scrappy way if needed, as well as the wisdom to stay out of the critical path at the later stage: To bring these projects to production through asking questions and setting context with the teams and their leads instead.

Either you have been an early CTO with a smaller startup or in a very senior engineering role so far and are eager to take the next step in your personal development. You have not necessarily been a manager yet, but see yourself as a brilliant communicator who cares as much about people and the engineering organization as the technology itself.

Years in a seat do not matter to us, but you should be able to show relevant products you've built with a team. Public exposure on blogs, talks and podcasts, as well as enjoying movies & TV shows are a plus.

You value results, freedom and responsibility and you value them in others as well. Your leadership is connecting the dots and enabling people. You have high standards, a coherent vision on technology and your own opinion based on screwing up real-world systems.

You should bring at least an affinity towards Golang, PostgreSQL, reactive single page apps and the ideas behind them, as that consists of 90% of our current stack. The rest is surely interesting, but something we will figure out together.
