42 Wolfsburg is a recently launched, disruptive higher education NGO/start-up educating 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment. 42 Wolfsburg is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was funded 2013 in Paris and today trains 15 000 students in 42 schools. At 42 Wolfsburg we set out to educate the next generation of german software engineers to build the digital (mobility) infrastructure of our societies this means meaningful work, excellent career opportunities and lots of responsibility.

Tasks

As the Head of Marketing at 42 Wolfsburg you will be part of a dynamic forward-thinking team. We aim to build a vibrant learning community for students as well as employees. We think and act like a startup but have the strategic support from industry partners and the successful brand, content and infrastructure of the global 42 network.

In your role, you will lead on marketing strategy and implementation. As such, you will be responsible for our branding as well as performance marketing campaigns. These are geared towards attracting thousands of potential students to our application process and hundreds of students to our 1-month selection boot camps (Piscines) taking place several times a year in Wolfsburg. Our student community is international so our working language and marketing activities are in English and German.

While we believe some presence on-site is essential to nurture team culture, work hours are flexible and remote working is possible.

More specifically, you will

  • Run all organic and paid marketing across different channels
  • Lead a small marketing team made up of permanent employees and freelancers
  • Strategize, build and execute online campaigns on channels such as Facebook and Google Advertisement
  • Set up and manage the conversion funnel from generating interest to registration to taking part in our piscines (recruitment boot camps)
  • Create and execute open days and introductions to attract students to 42 Wolfsburg. You will be a key representative for our school
  • Create and execute communication and events during the boot camps
  • Be the point of contact for our partners and fellows to help them become our ambassadors
  • Be the point of contact for the press and actively source new press opportunities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in planning and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Solid experience in online performance marketing (esp. Google and Facebook).
  • Solid experience in running social media for an organisation
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude; ownership of tasks and projects; balanced and patient personality
  • Effective communication skills in English and German (other languages esp. French highly welcome)
  • Positive attitude towards attracting and working with students and colleagues from a range of different backgrounds
