Technical Team Leader

MusiX is one of the leading suppliers for musical instruments in Switzerland and with a focus on the European Market for the future. We started very small and grew since 16 years from a team of 3 members to a team of more than 50 employees now.

Using technology in the best possible way in order to offer a better service to our customers is one of our principles. Furthermore, thanks to modern technology, we can also manage to work in a decentralized way (homework). As such, we did embrace the concept of working remotely long before the pandemic situation required it.

The first 3 months are an intensive training period. Our goal is to create long term, sustainable work relationships.

Tasks

Analyzing problems in current processes, and solving these in collaboration with other team members, specifically with software developers, who apply changes to the ERP system (the operative software is implemented and maintained by our development team).

Supporting teams in problem solving, when their team members can't find a solution by themselves.

Identifying the root cause of problems, and solving these, together with the different teams involved (e.g. the software development team and operational teams).

Support of organizational tasks, such as defining responsibilities and identifying the right people to take them over.

Requirements

Strong logical thinking: Because both the system to work with is large and complex, and many situations have to be solved with logical reasoning, involving other people.

Problem solving skills involving both technical and human challenges.

Achieving goals, no matter how difficult the context is.

Long term perspective: This aspect is important because the training period takes a long time and because establishing long term work relationships is one of our goals.

IT industry experience.

Experience of building E-commerce, ERP/CRM products will be a great value.

Software development knowledge (OOP, Core Java, SQL, Linux).

English: fluent, both spoken and written.

Nice to have (but not a requirement): German language skills.
