To join our team in Cologne as soon as possible we are currently looking for a full-time
__HEAD OF ACCOUNTING (M/F/D)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES__
- You will be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of our accounting team, which currently consists of 6 people
- You are responsible for the preparation of the end-of-month, end-of-quarter and annual financial statements according to the German Commercial Code and also support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements according to the International Financial Reporting Standards
- You are in charge of the balance sheet accounting of all affiliates (accounts payable and receivable as well as G/L accounting, including merchandise accounts)
- You optimize and further develop our group-wide ERP system
- You coordinate all tax activities including tax planning and optimizing
- You are responsible for ongoing tax-related matters
- You are in charge of ensuring and complying with internal processes and guidelines
- You are our contact person for external stakeholders such as banks, payment service providers, auditors, tax authorities and tax consultants
YOUR PROFILE - IT'S WHAT MAKES YOU TICK THAT COUNTS
- You have successfully completed your studies in economics/business administration or a comparable education
- You have several years of professional experience in an international company and a solid knowledge of accounting ( German Commercial Code, if necessary also International Financial Reporting Standards) and tax law
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a comparable management position in a dynamic environment
- You are experienced in working with ERP systems, ideally, you already worked with MS Dynamics Navision
- You are a team player, who likes to work conceptually on process improvements but also hands-on in a team
- You are an analytical thinker and familiar with all common -Office applications
- You are fluent in German and English
