Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a Red Seal Certified Heavy Duty Vehicle Mechanic for a global supplier of industrial gases that serves a variety of industries: chemicals & refining, food & beverage, electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, and primary metals. Knowledgeable, reliable, and team-oriented Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will join an established Shop in Edmonton, AB and be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor responsible for the general maintenance and repair of systems and components of various heavy vehicles.

Heavy Duty Mechanics that excel in this role should have experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy trucks (Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, Volvo, Cummins etc) as well as CO2 and cryogenic units, and systems including engines, A/C, electrical, exhaust, brakes, axles, and piping systems. Electrical troubleshooting and schematic reading is paramount. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and a specialized Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Vehicle Technician. Must be able to order, spare parts from suppliers and managing paperwork for heavy vehicle maintenance.

Must have the secondary school diploma, be a Red Seal Certified Heavy Vehicle Technician, with minimum Class 5 driver s license, B620 TC/MC 331, TC/MC 341 experience is an asset.

Compensation

$42.00 - $48.00/hour to start based on experience and training. Full Benefits available immediately:

Schedule

Day Shift, 7:00am - 4:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Some overtime may be required/on call during weekend or holidays
