Senior ETL Data Engineer (100% Remote)

Duration: 6 Months Initial contract

Location: Saint Paul, MN

Proficient in the following tools and technologies:

SQL Server Administration

SQL Server Development (T-SQL)

Database design

SSIS

SSRS

Azure Data Factory

ETL

ODBC

REST API s

Azure Dev Ops

Familiar with SSRS

.NET, C#

Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Visio

Strong communication Skills is also required.

Should be familiar with a ETL tool called Pentaho

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in related field, AND

Minimum of ten years of experience in designing and developing data solutions and managing large scale databases, both on premise and in the cloud OR A combination of IT related post-secondary and/or professional education and demonstrated relevant work

experience designing and developing data solutions and managing large scale databases equivalent to a total of fourteen years

Seven years experience with SQL server including database design, writing and optimizing complex SQL statements and stored procedures, index design and maintenance, and database administration (e.g. Security, Backups, etc.)

Seven years experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL solutions (e.g. SSIS, Azure Data Factory)

Seven years experience with various software development approaches (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

Two years experience with technologies such as .NET, C#, REST, oauth, ODBC, Java

Experience utilizing software development tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, GIT, etc.)

Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)

Strong understanding of business systems and processes (e.g., customer service, procurement, accounting) and how they interrelate

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Ed-Fi Data Standards and Tools

Experience with Azure
