Job Description
On behalf of our client, a dynamically developing IT company with a global reach, we are looking for a Software Engineer.
Our client specializes in comprehensive service delivery and staff expansion thanks to industry-leading and niche technology knowledge
As a software engineer, you will be part of a team working for the space sector. A team that will develop new software for controlling the radio telescope (CCS).
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for:
- creating new software using existing libraries and platforms
- debugging / improving existing code
- porting existing code to new versions of the development platform
Requirements
- General professional experience as Software Engineer
- Graduate of Software Engineering, IT, or related secondary education
- One or more years of professional experience developing software in C++/Linux and Python
- Solid practical familiarity with modern software engineering practices and tools, including configuration control tools (git), debuggers and profilers, an agile development process, unit and integration testing on Linux: a min. of 1 project(s) within the past 4 years
- Good command of the English language, both oral and written, and good communication skills
- Specific professional experience (e.g., DDS, ZeroMQ, multicast UDP, OPC/UA and TwinCAT for Beckhoff PLCs, SCADA applications, Qt user interfaces or equivalent)
