Job Description:
General Overview of Work and Expectations:
We cater to very wealthy clients, family offices, and mid-market businesses within our community. Typical new clients have fees in excess of $100,000 per year which gives you an idea of the volume & complexity of work. We have several CPA/Attorneys on staff and support high level consulting related to M&A, Family Office & Business Structuring/Re-Structuring, and Opportunity Zones. Most of our client groups are comprised of dozens of individuals & entities, engaging in a variety of services that we offer. Not only will the team support traditional tax returns such as 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, etc, they will also support the less common 1041, 706, 709, and other fringe returns. We do not have a lot of international volume, but it arises from time to time.
Preferred:Experience final reviewing (i.e. we are able to Sign with little to no changes) business (1065, 1120, 1120S, 990 etc) and individual (1040, 1041, 706, 709 etc) returns. Essentially, a high-level generalist who can support most/all return types.
Required: Exceptional experience final reviewing (i.e. we are able to Sign with little to no changes) either on the business (1065, 1120, 1120S, 990) or the individual (1040, 1041, 706, 709) returns, and we can plan Client Group assignments (and longer-term training & skills development) accordingly. For example, if the candidate was very experienced with Business Returns but not individual returns, we would have them support Client Groups with a heavier volume of the business returns, and where the Senior Manager/Director from our team is very strong on the individual returns.
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- 10 years experience in US Tax & Accounting principles, with managing experience required.
- Bachelor s/College Degree specializing in Accounting/Banking/Financial Services/Customer Service or equivalent.
- Experience working within the Accounting & Finance space, preferably US.
- Experience using relative multiple software platforms ie QuickBooks,
- Experience and competency using Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Have the ability to multitask, work towards deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective verbal and communication skills.
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong customer and presentation skills
- Excellent English competency both in written and verbal.
