Job Description
- Informing participants of rules and regulations during activities to ensure safety
- Scheduling staff members’ work hours and determining staffing needs based on attendance rates and seasonal changes in demand
- Training staff in first aid, CPR, and other safety measures as needed
- Ensuring that all facilities are kept clean and well maintained, including repairing equipment as needed
- Supervising the daily operations of an establishment such as a campground or community pool, including scheduling staff and overseeing operations
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure that equipment is in good working order and facilities are clean and safe for use
- Supervising the activities of campers, including providing instructions on how to use equipment properly and encouraging children to participate in activities
- Overseeing the maintenance of facilities to ensure they are safe and ready for use
- Planning activities and events to promote participation in recreational activities such as sports leagues, arts and crafts classes, or dance lessons
