Linux (Red Hat Enterprise/CentOS), Video encoding / transcoding IPV4 & IPV6 including but not limited to TCP/IP, ICMP, UDP, Multicast, HTTPS, SNMP, DHCP, SSL protocols, Internet routing and firewalls Knowledge in DNS Operations, CDN (Concepts and Network Architecture/performance monitoring principles) Microsoft and Unix/BSD Operating Systems, Scripting with Bash/Perl/Python/Shell Network Storage (NFS, CIFS, Gluster), Network Virtualization-VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V F5 Load Balancing Experience with generating test plans and managing/performing the ensuing update and testing procedures Understanding of the voice and data interactions of a 9-1-1 call and the systems involved Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking (routers/firewalls) for ESInet, Working knowledge of the NENA/TELUS AQS protocol Ability to perform trouble analysis and working knowledge of geospatial systems Hands-on familiarity with testing methodologies, and quality control With 4-6 years of relevant experience, requiring advanced technical and analytical skills, confident in making and owning technical decisions Support specific customer issues through assessment, interpretation, resolution or recommendations and strong verbal and written communication skills, confident with presenting material to peers and senior management Represent TELUS at the industry level (Emergency Services Working Group) on relevant TIF initiatives Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or Technology graduate and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
