EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

Advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Power BI Desktop

Able to:

Use Power Query M formula language to transform and load data into Power BI

Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI

Translate business requirements into an efficient Power BI data model

Proficiency in MS Excel

Knowledge and experience of:

Using Vega or Vega-Lite visualisation programming language

Logistics data extracted from NATO tools

Knowledge of:

Logistics reporting

Operational research

Familiarity with data visualisation best practices

Use of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Server to support NCI Agency staff to develop a recognised picture of commodity holdings. This will be a customer facing dashboard incorporating operational data

Take direction from OA Centre staff. Data will be provided in a hierarchical format (in XML/Excel/MS Access db.) and should be transformed and loaded into Power BI Desktop using Power Query M format language. The dashboard will require use of both standard and custom Power BI Visuals as well as best practices of data visualisation to communicate important information in a concise and visually intuitive manner
