Job Description

Our client is a well known international company working in various industries providing the product and solutions for water treatment. They are expanding their sales team and are looking for sales talent with the necessary qualification and experience, preferably calling on the food and beverage industry.

  • Conduct research into businesses that require water treatment/chemical dosing equipment
  • Follow-up on new business leads obtained through research, at existing clients, through telephonic or e-mail queries and through information obtained in the market place
  • Implement a cold-calling schedule to present company products to potential clients
  • Actively work to increase market share within assigned sales territory, by conducting an ongoing analysis of the market
  • Draw up and implement an action plan for securing new business to be updated quarterly and submitted to sales management, to form part of an overall action plan for securing new business
  • Implement a face-to-face client calling schedule to establish needs of the client
  • Provide appropriate product solutions to meet the needs of the client
  • Implement active cross-selling and up-selling in that products or services the client has not explicitly requested, is offered to the client to increase value for the client.
  • Proactively present new products to clients
  • Deal with telephonic and written queries from the client
  • Structure quotations/sales proposals according to client needs within the prescribed time-frames
  • Convert quotations into orders by proactively following up on quotations/sales proposals sent to clients
  • Actively monitor progress of sales orders in order to meet sales targets
  • Achieve a high level of client satisfaction and client loyalty
  • Proactively include a service engineer in a site survey (when necessary) to ensure a comprehensive quotation for the customer
  • Ensure delivery of products to the client in the prescribed time-frames
  • Follow-up with client to ensure the client is satisfied with the product and customer service provided
  • Screen client for future business opportunities


Requirements

  • This position requires a demonstration of technical aptitude by means of a successfully completed formal qualification and/or job experience in a technical environment with a focus on selling of equipment and products - Engineering or Chemical Engineering qualification and background desired.
