Job Description
- Apply electrical wiring and panel building solutions based on ELV and LV designs.
- Develop detailed engineering report for electrical installation changes required on site
- Develop drawing design standards for consistency and accuracy
- Perform technical drafting and modelling work as directed by Lead Designer, within allocated time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Familiarisation with client design standards and ability to translate requirements into a workable design solution.
- Apply AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and Electrical Regulations to designs.
- Complete electrical design calculations to support project design tasks.
- Design automation systems based on user requirements.
- Read and interpret site audit photos, technical drawings, schematics, termination wiring and scope of works to produce detailed design drawings in accordance with client standards
- Drafting of design drawings using AutoCAD package and / or delegation of design requirements to a Drafter.
- Develop technical documentation for the design stages of project delivery; this includes User Requirements Specifications, Functional Specifications, Traceability Matrix, Validation Test Plans etc.
- Follow SAGE TEP and Design workflow methodologies.
- Support engineers to meet project requirements for design activities.
- Assist with project quoting of engineering activities.
Requirements
- Appropriate Engineering qualifications
- Advanced design and delivery expertise in electrical engineering, power systems and/or control systems engineering projects
- PLC, SCADA, RTU/Automation experience desirable
- Demonstrable experience integrating legacy systems.
- Appropriate Engineering qualifications or verifiable industry experience working as a Design Engineer.
- Demonstrable knowledge of good engineering practices and principles.
- Experience working as a Design Engineer.
- Excellent English Communication
- International customer handling experience would be desirable
- Project management experience would be desirable.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
