Job Summary:

The main purpose of the Inventory Planner / Analyst is to maintain inventories as
low as possible through ordering and production while ensuring the sales
representative have sufficient quantities for customers. This is achieved through
extensive analysis as well as coordination of production and sales predictions.
The Inventory Planner / Analyst is responsible for the maintaining, monitoring, and
analyzing the OEM/Aftermarket inventory of Company. The incumbent will correct
issues with inventory as they come about as well as ensure the flow of inventory as
a whole for the OEM/Aftermarket Sector.
Duties &
Responsibilities:

Reviewing demand then checking available stock and conformance to the
inventory plan and order more stock if necessary
Sending Inquiries to the appropriate manufacturing facility.

Negotiate prices with suppliers
Release Purchase Orders on a timely manner
Confirm Purchase order details with the manufacturing facility to ensure
timely delivery dates and negotiate production schedule changes.
Expedites Delivery and Follow-Up on POs with the company factories and suppliers
Sample Ordering from various locations using the GSOR system with the
necessary information from Engineering PPAP samples and production
samples
Responsible for filling backup orders
Apply strategic planning to ensure the availability of all necessary inventory
required to support the business.
Ensure appropriate levels of inventory
Advise the Purchasing Manager where inventory levels are depleted/low or
excess and take appropriate actions to manage impact
Assist with budget planning twice a year, matching purchase history with
planned budget
Fulfill and meet Key Performance Indices (KPI s)
Prepare and discuss potential inventory issues in SIOP meetings
Perform other duties as required

Knowledge:Knowledge and understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics

concepts and theories.
Knowledge and experience with operations as a whole
Exceptional forecasting ability with strong analytical and interpretive skills.
Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
Knowledge of accounting system/inventory control processes
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office software suites.
Knowledge of local and global markets for the industry is an asset

Requirements

Education and
Professional
Experience:

College Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or
Supply Chain Management.
Proven success in an Inventory Management role.
3-5 years in Inventory Planning or Inventory Analyst role.
Business/Economic scholarly background would be useful
Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively
with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
Strong writing skills for creating reports, correspondence, contracts, requests,
bids, and other documentation.
Familiarity with supply chain management (SCM) software
Working experience in the bearing industry preferred

How You'll Perform The Role Produce molds and/or machined / fabricated parts accurately and efficiently within established timelines Handle cutting, drilling, reaming, boring, polishing, deburring and grinding of aluminum parts Handle cleaning, fitting, drilling and assembling of the tools Assist with sample making process when required Grind tools for custom requirements Know capability of various machines and related impact on parts/tools Come up with ideas for productivity improvements through engineering solutions like jigs, fixtures etc. whenever required Guide and assist co-workers whenever required Make wooden crates and pack the tools for shipment whenever required Lift and move product / parts / boxes when required Assist with cleaning up machines and their general maintenance Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedures whenever required Understand, maintain and follow the working procedures for machine shop Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in own work area and around work units Perform all work in a safe manner and fully comply with the Safety and Quality (GMP) policies and procedures of the Company Any other duties as assigned by the Management What We Need From You Minimum High school diploma and Ontario Machinist Certification Minimum 5 years of experience in machine shop and fabrication for making thermoforming molds or similar applications Strong knowledge of different tooling machinery and its usage, including Milling Machines, Lathes, Drilling Machine, Band saw, Grinders etc. Able to verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using different measuring instruments eg. Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height gauge etc. Able to read and interpret blue-prints or study sample parts to determine machining operations to be performed Strong knowledge of welding and brazing. Able to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision Should possess own basic tools Good English communications skills (verbal and written)
