Job Description:

The AR/AP/Bookkeeper is responsible for end-to-end general accounting tasks and in preparing, reviewing, and analysing financial reports. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of Australian bookkeeping and will be an asset to the accounting team. Duties will include but not limited to keeping and managing records of financial transactions for group companies and general clerical with project-based work.
  • Responsible for preparing BAS, IAS, bookkeeping procedures, and general administrative/ad hoc tasks.
  • Deliver operating efficiencies through Quickbooks and or similar and relevant accounting software systems.
  • Send out bank feed data reports as required.
  • Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures and investments that is being worked on.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting external stakeholders
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field, CPA is preferred.
  • At least 3+ year experience in Australian accounting, and bookkeeping.
  • Strong working experience with Australian Payroll & Accounting software.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software, and other business software systems extensive knowledge in Xero Tax, Xero, XPM, MYOB, BGL 360 and other relevant accounting software systems.
  • Working knowledge in GST, BAS, IAS etc.
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and accounting principles.
  • Has a proactive approach to business and technology.
  • Experience using Adobe Pro and similar software.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills.
