Minimum Requirements
Matric Certificate / Grade 12
Previous manufacturing stock control experience is essential
Must come from logistics, fleet, or despatch background
Strong communication skills
Being hands-on
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Records the daily stock count of raw materials
Compares the daily stock count to the stock control sheet and investigate any discrepancies
Checks production labels and product type against the production plan
Confirms any product downgrades or rejects
Follows dispatch schedule and adapts to changes as instructed by the branch manager
Fills in trip sheet, collects delivery note from branch manager and fills in the pass out book
Responsible for trucks roadworthy, tyres, services, and electrical inspections
Instructs the crane operator on what to load on the vehicle
Checks that the driver has a valid returns book in the vehicle, checks the stock that has been loaded and signs the pass out book
Initiate a car (SD 1071) if any products do not meet the delivery requirements and informs the branch manager
Instructs cutter if stock needs re-sizing, whereafter the b grade cutting sheet is send to the branch manager to adjust the stock
To maintain awareness of customer requirements and check the branch
Manager and line manager to ensure that these requirements have been stated correctly on the customer purchase order and production order list
Takes a decision if raw stock needs to be scrap, resized or to return the
Defective stock
