Who You Are:

You are a dynamic leader, looking to drive, define and realize Master Data Management (MDM) solutions on global enterprise level in support of the digital transformation. You ensure that vision meets execution, apply pragmatism to MDM solutions and approaches, provide hands-on leadership, mentor and enhance capabilities of a team of MDM engineers. You are in charge of setting the standards for MDM, outlining different MDM implementation styles and implications, exploring and/or recommending ways to master/reference transversal data domains enterprise wide in alignment with cross functional global teams, designing and developing MDM solutions that will both support Data and AI products as well as address Sanofi enterprise needs. Your role includes setting architecture standards within your team, ensuring you re resourced to execute on the data team operating model and associated MDM project portfolio and supporting delivery of quality work.

In your role, you will be reporting directly into the Head of Data Engineering, Architecture and Governance, providing architectural leadership and know-how across master data domains and solutions. Your expertise extends into MDM integration with connecting applications, data model design and business rule/process definition within MDM, data governance and stewardship to evolve MDM, and operations design and execution to support MDM sustainment while working in a multi-vendor environment.

You will work closely with multiple transversal teams in Data (across foundational data platforms, business-facing AI products, and data portfolio management), Digital (infrastructure, cloud, security, Agile) and key business stakeholders. You will have direct people management responsibilities and accountabilities for a team of MDM engineers, with opportunities to shape your team at your discretion.

Job Highlights:

• Demonstrate solid experience in developing MDM solutions, including architecture, data model design, application interfaces and operations
  

• Possess practical knowledge of master data processes and business decisions, preferably in a pharmaceutical and life sciences setting
  

• Have solid experience in technical solution identification and realization through translation of requirements into workable, fit for purpose designs and approaches
  

• Provide hands-on support in delivering MDM solutions
  

• Bring strong relationship management skills in working with peers, colleagues, senior leadership and vendor communities
  

• Lead multidisciplinary teams, with and without external third-party partners/vendors, with direct supervisory and people management responsibilities
  

Requirements

Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strategic thinker with the ability to act as a translator between Data and the business, ensuring business value is achieved through appropriate MDM solution
  

• Demonstrated techno functional MDM capabilities (e.g. data model design, business rule/process design, API design, application integration, etc.)
  

• Ability to lead and manage agile teams
  

• Experience working cross-functionally in large organizations to solve complex master data problems as a result of aggressive M&A activity
  

• Relationship-oriented with the ability to communicate meaningfully and influence all levels of stakeholders
  

• Storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical jargon and concepts into something simple, accurate and understandable
  

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in autonomy with limited guidelines
  

• Effective written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  

Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor s/Master s in business, or STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) preferred or equivalent, with 8+ years of relevant working experience
  

• Extensive knowledge and experience with cloud technologies and services, preferably AWS
  

• Extensive knowledge and experience with MDM technologies, preferably Informatica MDM, Informatica 360, Semarchy, Reltio, Tibco
  

• Working knowledge and experience using agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  

• Working knowledge of software application development and agile methodologies
  

• Understanding and application of data / digital strategy and governance
  

• Understanding of software development processes and procedures
  

• Understanding of change management and release processes
