Infinity Brands is looking for a skilled Marketing Manager, with strong project and event management experience, to head up an exciting upcoming TV production competition for our signature brand, ACDC Express. We are Africa s foremost franchise management, development, and consulting firm. Our Brand s primary focus is on expansive business growth through franchising.

Areas of Responsibility:
  • To collaborate closely with the production agency and all the relevant stakeholders in planning, organising, leading and controlling the event - from inception until completion.
  • Setting timelines and achieving event milestones.
  • Developing and executing the processes and procedures of all the competition event stages from in-store, regional, and the final stages for the competition.
  • Set comprehensive goals, objectives, and milestones with production company that are achievable.
  • Analysing the market and identifying key target segments for the competition.
  • Develop a marketing strategy to promote awareness and hype for the competition.
  • Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Effective teamwork and self-management.
  • Managing the design and production of flyers, brochures, posters, banners, and other print materials used to promote the event.
  • Coordinating with event vendors and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all elements of the event are delivered as planned
  • Managing the budget for an event, including securing sponsorships and negotiating rates with vendors or suppliers.
  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure that all materials are printed or created in time for the event
  • Reviewing digital and traditional marketing materials created by outside vendors and approving them before they are used in an event marketing campaign.
  • Communicating with key stakeholders periodically to address the project s progress, concerns and performance.
  • Researching trends in event planning to develop new ideas for future events.


Requirements

Requirements
  • BCom in Marketing, Business Management, and/or any qualifications in Event Management or Project Management.
  • Experience as a Marketing Manager, an Events Manager, or a Project Manager.
  • A minimum of 3- 4 years of management experience in the marketing profession.
  • Understands Marketing: The candidate must have a strong grasp of current marketing and PR trends as well as how to resonate with the target audience.
  • Experience with both Above the Line (ATL) and Below the Line (BTL) marketing.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Experience in sponsorship and public relations will be a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment but also take ownership and accountability for individual tasks.
  • Nationwide travel will be required.

  • Computer Literacy: The individual needs to have a strong grasp of computer office software. Beneficial if the candidate also has experience on digital marketing platforms.
  • Leadership: The Marketing Manager must have leadership and people skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage effectively, and work with different stakeholders.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to set SMART objectives and a realistic action plan for each stage of the competition.
  • Strategy: They must excel at strategic thinking, be open to new perspectives and better ways to do things; and be creative, visionary, and manage innovation well
  • Completion-Oriented: The candidate must be deadline and results-driven
  • Decision-making skills: The individual must be confident and have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal Communication: The marketing manager must possess high EQ and the ability to communicate effectively with various different stakeholders.
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills: The individual must negotiate rates and close deals to maximize the return on investment of the competition.
