Build Software Engineer

This is an incredible opportunity to join a well established, 10 year old indi game studio comprised of engineering professionals with a reputation of building long-term relationships with AAA game studios. We re looking for a highly skilled Build & Release Engineer who is willing to share their expertise to make and deliver builds to internal and external parties and ensure that releases go smoothly.

You are passionate about making games and ownership around the build process; strong working knowledge of build pipelines and is eager to help the team hit their development goals.

Your responsibilities will include -

• Assisting with development and orchestration of deployment workflows as well as performing deployments.
  
• Developing and improve the technical build pipeline in C#; automate and drive the build system and other related tooling
  
• Working as a technical liaison with development team to address build issues and improvements.
  
• Collaborating across domain teams and QA on releases/updates and patches
  
• Helping support integration process, emergent work and deployments
  
• Maintaining industry best practices in DevOps and CI through good coding practices and participating in code reviews
  

Your professional qualifications include -

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  
• Previous experience in build engineering, working with consoles and third parties in a AAA games studio ideally with Unreal 4/5
  
• Programming experience in C#/Java/OOP
  
• Scripting and automation skills using tools such as Groovy, Python, bash, or similar
  
• Experience with automated build systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity or equivalent
  
• Experience with Perforce or equivalent
  

• Experience with JIRA or equivalent.
