Position Description

We are currently recruiting for a Account Manager to join our thriving sales team. The role will be a quota bearing sales role, combining the selling of new business to new customers new capability to existing customers. You will be the primary owner of new and existing relationships between SysGroup and our target market of small & medium sized enterprise customers.

Requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Sell the SysGroup portfolio to new and existing customers.
  • Defend existing contract revenues.
  • Hit all financial measures.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate accounts
  • Create, develop and maintain sales strategies with our key vendor partners and where appropriate, incumbent system integrators.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships to influence customer buying behaviour and to ensure our service is delivered effectively.
  • Undertand the SysGroup portfolio and be able to identify opportunity.
  • Maintain an accurate forecast in CRM at all times.
  • Ensure that the business is aware of

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Has worked for an MSP in the recent past
  • New business sales experience.
  • Account management experience.
  • Experience in the development of cross functional relationships with both internal teams and
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in selling service based solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously

The experience to lead a small team of Project Managers to ensure that agreed processes are followed at all times and to build an oversight of the status of all projects across the organisation. Sound technical understanding of the SysGroup Solution Portfolio with the knowledge to confidently translate the technical requirements of a project into a meaningful set of tasks that can be tracked and reported on. Sound knowledge of core Project Management methodologies and the ability to use those methodologies in all aspects of the role to ensure the timely delivery of projects. Knowledge and experience to spot issues as they arise and to build mitigation plans to avoid time or cost overruns. Be confident and happy to continually work with customers to ensure they are happy with project progress. By using standard PM tools you will be able to have authentic and pragmatic conversations with customers and then own the resolution of any issues from start to finish. The experience to work across the SysGroup Business to support internal projects as required. As we build our team of Technical Project Managers you will be happy to work in our Newport office so we can move rapidly as we build out our capabilities. There is of course flexibility in the role with travel to customers included and the flexibility for home working. About You Ideal candidates for our new roles will live within commuting distance of our recently refurbished Newport office which sits on the same campus as the Vantage Data Centre a critical datacentre node in the digital operational capacity of western Europe and in which SysGroup hosts and manages significant infrastructure for a range of customers.
