Data Architect

We are looking for an experienced ambitious Data Architect consultant to join our team.

Competencies

Application of Data Architecture principles, including:

o conduct analysis of current state and future state

o the creation of technical diagrams and outputs

o the selection of appropriate architecture and data model to meet business specific operational requirements.

Proven knowledge of:

o Established and emerging data technologies (please provide details of technologies the Resource has experience working with)

o Data modelling

o Data dictionary design.

Proven familiarity with the concepts and the implications of on-prem, cloud, multi-vendor cloud and hybrid cloud architectures and the impacts on application and data security, data flows and maintenance of a coherent and cohesive data model in these scenarios.

Proven ability to gather information from and provide accurate complex technical information to a wide range of stakeholders

Experience of an enterprise with operating constraints such as specific legislation and regulations, Information Security, GDPR.

Key Deliverables:

Conducting reviews of and generating detailed documentation of the existing data, data architecture, data flows and toolsets in use, including assessment of existing support levels and issues.

Providing input and expertise to initiatives reviewing the existing enterprise systems architectures.

Advising on best practice and appropriate governance standards for the Departments operating context.

Reviewing the requirements for future developments.

Working with relevant stakeholders to develop data dictionaries.

Drafting proposal for future data model and architecture to meet business needs and strategic goals.

Coordinating working groups and workshops with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Drafting proposal document outlining implementation plan for future architecture for the department and agencies.

Establishing a knowledge base for division staff including advice on appropriate staff training.

Drafting technical design documentation.
