In your role, you will:

• Drive the data culture across the enterprise
  
• Define and ensure compliance to the data architecture framework, standards and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data and master data
  
• Work with Data Engineer, BI and AI developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, data lake and data warehouses
  
• Define and evolve reference data architecture that others can follow to create and improve data systems
  
• Be responsible of the data management strategy, process implementation and associated governance
  
• Own data governance related activities at the enterprise scale
  
• Select and maintain tool for data management at enterprise level (cataloging, categorization, ownership, discovery, access, master data management, data quality)
  
• Work with IT and business stakeholders to ensure the continuous integration / continuous deployment of data systems, in alignment with data management processes
  
• Define and maintain a data dictionary for the enterprise
  
• Define and maintain KPI related to the enterprise data estate
  
• Identify data quality issue impacting the business and propose solution to address root cause
  
• Develop with the business, legal and security teams the processes and rules used to plan, specify, enable, create, acquire, maintain, use, archive, retrieve, control, and purge data (Data lifecycle management)
  
• Drive change towards the adoption of new practices and tools that enable a seamless user experience to data consumers while reducing data systems maintenance and data management processes overhead.
  
• Define data platform usage rules and monitor compliance (ingesting, processing and access management)
  
• Ensure a cohesive data nomenclature across transactional systems and analytics systems for all areas of the business
  
• Work with Security team to categorize dataset by level of sensitivity and availability requirement.
  
• Trigger new initiatives related to data monetization or new insights/value creation
  
• Act as an expert and specialist in your field and represent the unit when meeting with various committees and departments regarding entrusted mandates.
  
• Collaborate and coordinate with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.
  

Profil

As our ideal candidate,

• You have a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related technical fields.
  
• At least 10 years of data modeling, design experience, SQL development and database administration
  
• You have 5 years experience in a similar role of data architecture in a large multi-national organization.
  
• You have deep understanding of at least one data management tool for large enterprise
  
• You have a good understanding of data management and reporting technologies, also keeping up to date with emerging trends related to columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data.
  
• You have experience optimizing data file format for big data analytics (CSV, JSON, Parquet, ORC, AVRO, )
  
• You have knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) specification for category and object modelling
  
• You have knowledge of XML Schema Definition (XSD), JSON and XML Metadata Interchange (XMI)
  
• You have knowledge of entity-relationship modelling (relational models, normal forms, etc.)
  
• You have understanding of the system development life cycle, project management approaches, and requirements, design, and test techniques
  
• You have experience of cloud-based data platform (Microsoft Azure or AWS)
  
• You have knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI would be an asset
  
• You have good understanding of cloud security principles
  
• You have experience in delivering projects following Agile methodology / Scrum
  
• You have Certification like TOGAF 9 or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) would be an asset
  
• You have experience with handling customer and other third-party vendors effectively.
  
• You have the ability to resolve complex problems and to provide innovative solutions.
  
• You have flexibility and can adapt towards changing organizational needs.
  
• You have excellent Communication and inter-personal skills. Capable to be an evangelist at enterprise level for the data culture and to engage all level of the organization.
