Job Description:

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler is a key member of a team which ensures that material testers are fabricated and perform to the stated product specifications and meet the customer's expectations for their stated application needs and performance.

• Assembler performs diversified mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly or sub-assembly work that is moderately complex. Requires adjusting, fitting, and aligning to ordinary tolerances.

• Direction provided by verbal instructions or established assembly procedures and drawings.

• Requires print reading and basic math skills as well as the ability to use common hand tools and operate assembly machines. Work is typically performed at a bench and may include walking or standing.

• Position Requirements Creates lay-out and fits and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble manufactured products.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, strong attention to detail and quality.
  Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

• Consistently at work and on time, keeps commitments and meets deadlines; ability to work overtime as needed.

• Responds to management direction and follows instructions; listens well and gets clarification as required.

• Demonstrated organizational and follow-through skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school or equivalent; Technical/Trade school or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for eight (8) hours; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate (~75dba).Lifting of tools and calibration equipment will be required to perform the core functions of this position.
