Job Summary:

  • The Solution Delivery Program Manager Principal leads one or more intermediate and/or complex projects within a matrix team environment.

  • This role provides a seasoned level of leadership, direction, and effective communication to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close projects in a safe, efficient, economical, risk-balanced approach to achieve short- and long-range goals and to obtain maximum customer satisfaction.

  • The Solution Delivery Program Prin. Plans Business Operations projects through development of Charter, Scope, Budget, and Schedule.

  • This role builds project teams with support of manager;

  • leads the project team through the project lifecycle;

  • identifies risks; plans mitigation, provides status updates, develops presentations and status reports for Business Owners, Sponsors and Stakeholders; removes project roadblocks and resource constraints; manages budget.

  • The Solution Delivery PM Prin. develops relationships and effectively communicates with all levels of the organization including internal customers, external customers, team members, suppliers, contractors, vendors, and industry peers.

  • Experience with industry standard project management tools, principles and methodologies;

  • instinctual at sequencing tasks;

  • works independently; excellent communication, listening, writing and presentation skills;

  • ability to problem solve with positivity and develop alternative options; ability to prioritize and multitask;

  • displays high degree of emotional intelligence and self-awareness; balances and neutralizes issues; escalates risks and issues appropriately.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

  • Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects.

  • Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for the Client System Safety Process, ensuring a safe working environment focused on Zero Harm.

  • Manage deliverables, develop, review and coordinate the project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff.

  • Effectively manage cost and timely reallocate funding.

  • Effectively communicate project details and status updates.

  • Lead planning meetings and project/outage updates including detailed and complex stakeholder presentations.

  • Provide clear and concise written and oral reports and other communication.

  • Develop and actively manage working relationships with the project team, plant and operating company staff, internal and external customers or partners, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Foster teamwork and achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Provide wide range of detailed guidance, instruction, and training to improve design, systems, procedures, processes, schedules, and costs.

  • Confidently challenge others at a high level of informed understanding in all project work. Ensure maximum customer satisfaction and demonstrate effective and efficient performance of project work activities on complex project level.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project management, Business or related field of study with seven (7) years qualified experience or, two-year Associate's degree in the same required disciplines with nine (9) years of qualified experience (see below).

  • Qualified experience includes work in business process project management, and/or comparable internal or external experience in a competitive production environment.

  • Experience must include a demonstrated level of successful project management duties, business acumen, and prior responsibility for ALL of the PMI PMBOK knowledge areas.
