GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing a range of business and administrative functions mentioned below and for offering various bi-lingual support to Management and Japanese visitors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Preconstruction Services
Participates in preconstruction planning, when possible, regarding the project schedule and budget.
2. Project Administration, Operations, and Close-Out
Assists Project Manager in communicating with subcontractors and employees a consistent level of expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, quality control and other performance standards.
Attends weekly project progress meetings with all subcontractor representatives and understands the upcoming week's work to be accomplished.
Assists Project Manager in ensuring the project closeout process is finalized to settle all financial obligations, demobilize all resources, and transit the project to the customer.
3. Promote Customer Relations
Builds effective relationships with customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meet or exceed the customer's expectations.
Primary Job Functions
Provides General Administrative Support including General Sales and Accounting Support by; writing and distributing documents and other correspondence (to contractors, vendors, internally, etc.); distributing mail and faxes when necessary; accurately filing and maintaining documents; maintaining and modifying data; making copies; ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment; researching, communicating, and negotiating with vendors for best prices; planning office activities and events; providing administrative support to Project Managers as necessary; and assisting Management on other administrative functions as requested
Supports Management and Japanese Visitors with Various Arrangements by; providing translation support; coordinating travel arrangements (hotel, rental car and flight reservations, etc.); researching and negotiating various travel related services (i.e. corporate rates for hotels, insurance for cars, etc.); arranging for apartments, car leases, etc. for longer term visitors; advising visitors on various local issues and problems; and recommending local places to visitors for business and personal needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
EDUCATION
Associates degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or related field; and two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination and experience
