Job Summary
Entry level role with focus on training and assisting with operating machines, including but not limited to, Wire and Sinker Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM), CNC Milling machines, and CNC Lathes to modify products, either purchased or manufactured by Client.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
General Functions
Operate at least one type of machining production equipment including but not limited to, Wire and Sinker Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM), CNC Milling machines, and CNC Lathes.
Independently run at least one production cell in the EDM and/or Machining departments
Perform and record in-process inspection. Complete operator inspection certification program in at least one production cell.
Follow and maintain production plan schedule
Perform labor transactions in J.D. Edwards and Camstar MES
Acquire and understand Operational Specifications & Blueprints
Install and align specified fixtures and tool holders.
Download and transfer programs onto designated machines.
Perform and document all preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
Maintain a safe and clean work area and equipment cleanliness as per 5S schedule

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills and abilities)
Set up and operate machines.
Follow directions from supervisor and team lead with minimal supervision.
Use precision measuring equipment as necessary to perform inspections.
Work a variety of different shifts including weekends.
Education/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be able to read and write English language
Blueprint reading education or relative work experience with blueprints is preferred
Production experience preferred
Travel Requirements
< 5% - limited travel to attend training at offsite location
