Job Description

- Operation of briefing computers, projectors or other AV equipment in conjunction with VTC services.
- Schedule VTC sessions.
- Training personnel in the operation of VTC equipment, and other AV equipment associated with VTC services. This includes senior Staff and VIP personnel.
- Performs maintenance actions including inspections, service contracts, and upgrades.
- Provide recommendations to management on improved equipment reliability.
- Prepare periodical and special reports.
- Present progress, and performance metrics information for briefings and other presentations.
- Monitor and analyzes overall VTC equipment and system performance to ensure satisfactory operation.
- Troubleshoots hardware, software, infrastructure, and AV problems.
- Install video switching devices, media converters, wall monitors/televisions, and video control devices that support AV systems.
- May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians and may have limited supervisory responsibilities.
- Participates in special projects as required.

- Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
- Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
- Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
- Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
- Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
