- A niche trade that provides the opportunity to be trained in the specialized knowledge of saw cutting and concrete coring.
- Perform concrete cutting with the use of specialized diamond wall saws, road saws and wire saws.
- Use of wall saws lifted and secured into place requiring some heavy lifting.
- Operation of road saws by walking behind the saw and while having knowledge of the proper set up of the equipment including the removal and securing of different size blades.
- Use of a wire saw by obtaining specialized knowledge of the process of wrapping the wire around a cylinder of concrete in order to cut it.
- Perform general labour duties along with general maintenance including setup and tear down.
- Use of concrete coring equipment using a diamond drill bit that can vary in sizes from .5 inch to 48 inched. Required to set up the equipment and have the ability to adjust to different speeds based on the material.
- Float small equipment to job site using company vans or trucks.
- Completion of daily field ticket reports.
- Check, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor
- Ensure safety of fellow workmen during construction and in compliance with applicable regulations and safety policies and procedures.
- Inform Site Supervisor any issues that need to be communicated
- Will be required to work day and night shift along with the occasional weekend
