Job Description

Job Role:

As Quant is a rapidly growing organization with increasing financial mandates that require to be effectively managed, we are seeking a Finance Manager that has prior experience in this industry, and is capable of undertaking and leading the financial responsibilities being: Accounting Management, Treasury Management, Tax and Zakat Management, Reporting Management, Investment Management, Auditing Management, Partners Management, and Knowledge Base Management. And because Quant is in the growth stage, this role will also involve providing support for other operational and strategic functions within Quant.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and execute financial objectives of the organization and assure that other departments are conducting financially appropriate market practices
  • Prepare and monitor organization budgets and ensure organizations objectives are being achieved through the allocated funds
  • Issue financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecast
  • Maintain an accurate filing and record keeping system for all transactions, financial statements, and organization documents
  • Engage with CPA to provide required documentation to issue the organization s annual financial statements
  • Enhance financial governance policies and procedures, addressing treasury management, accounting standards, corporate finance practices, among other relevant matters.
  • Monitor and manage the treasury of the organization including AR/AP to ensure that it maintains positive cashflow and relations with its partners, banks and financial institutions
  • Prepare and submit all financial reports required for financial risk management and compliance purposes, such as Tax and Zakat authorities.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis periodically with suggestive actions to drive the business performance of the organization
  • Lead F&A Unit team members towards department objectives and develop their capabilities as needed.
  • Stay up to date with investment market trends and best practices.
  • Develop and lead the investment and financing initiatives of the organization.
  • Act as liaison with all partners and stakeholders relevant to the F&A Unit such CPAs, accounting firms, bank relation managers, potential investors, etc.


Requirements

Preferred Certifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
Preferred Personal Qualities:
  • Agile
  • Analytical
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong social skills
  • Aptitude to work in a diverse environment
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic
  • Effective time management
Preferred Business Skillset:
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, especially excel
  • Proficient in reporting and BI tools such as: Zoho Analytics - Tableau PowerBI
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with analyzing financial statements
  • Liaison experience with relevant partners.
  • Experience with Zoho Books or similar bookkeeping systems
