Summer Audit Internship

Parsons CPA is a growing Charlotte-based firm. Our summer internship is full of audit experience with little to no administrative duties.Interns work on multiple team engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment - not justa singleline item or a single client.There is room for movement in the firm and options to specialize or broaden your experience working alongside staff and managers to strengthen your technical skillswith hands-on training and formal training sessions.

Examples of the candidate s responsibilities include:

• Developing an understanding of the audit approach and tools

• Apply industry trends to analytics, formulate expectations and determine reasonableness.

• Performing substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues

• Express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in written form and write detailed document findings.

• Prepare financial reports (statements, footnotes and any supplemental information) and all other client deliverables, as well as proofreading colleagues reports.

• Meet deliverable deadlines, identify roadblocks, and understand critical milestones to meet team and client service expectations.

• Seek to understand the client s business as a whole, including competitors, trends and key customers and show sensitivity to the client culture and business strategy.
