Security Engineer

• Design, implement and support information security solutions and procedures.
  
• Plan, coordinate, implement and support information security systems, products and applications.
  
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions to address network and server performance problems.
  
• Monitoring and maintaining information security equipment/systems/networks
  
• Must be willing to perform on-call duties, on a rotational basis.
  
• Assist in defining, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical information security infrastructure and key resources
  
• Web content filtering analysis, development, and testing
  
• Testing existing and new technologies in the ITA . lab
  
• Review/analyze required changes to equipment, technology and/or other factors/trends, that may affect existing solutions compatible with solution modifications.
  
• Initialize the design/deployment of intrusion detection systems.
  
• Analyze/monitor the daily intrusion detection system and generate technical and operational summary reports.
  
• Develop standard operating procedures and other technical documents for the Intrusion Detection System infrastructure.
  
• Consult with hardware, communications, database experts, and/or vendors to ensure system continuity.
  
• Perform advanced system design functions, including interpretive analytics, blueprint preparation, and associated improvement blueprints/plans.
  
• Ensure applicable documentation is updated as per client standards.
  
• Routinely provide guidance and assist in training of less experienced staff.
  

Requirements

• More than 6 years of experience related to information assurance
  
• Experience in establishing and maintaining good working relationships at all levels of the organization, including clients, organizations, internal management, and support organizations
  
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including experience in negotiations
  
• Working knowledge of network protocols and common services such as DNS, FTP, email, TCP / ICMP / UDP
  
• The ability to assess network threat information such as scans, computer viruses or complex attacks
  
• Working knowledge of WAN/LAN concepts and technologies
