Job description:
We are looking for a talented Solution Architecture Consultant.This is a 12 months mandate with permanent possibilities. The work is remote and the candidate must live in Canada. Beautiful technologies and nice challenge are waiting for you.
As an IT Architecture Consultant, design solutions to meet business needs in large projects or programs that capitalize on architecture targets and foundations.
As an IT Architecture Consultant, design solutions to meet business needs in large projects or programs that capitalize on architecture targets and foundations.
You will assume a leadership and influence role with business partners and solution or enterprise architecture specialists on strategic, complex and innovative initiatives. The nature of the files requires broad and deep expertise in multiple technology and/or business domains and coverage of data, application and infrastructure aspects.
You will make recommendations regarding the architecture of solutions or businesses and produce deliverables related to your field, within the framework of files or projects with a very high operational and conceptual complexity. These require a comprehensive and in-depth analysis and understanding of the business domain and the organization. There are many linkages. You are called upon to interact with a large number of stakeholders working in various fields of expertise. Mastering interpersonal relations becomes an essential skill.
Main responsibilities
- Act as a consultant and content expert for projects and mandates specific to your field of expertise and whose scope and impact are major for the company
- Advise and support business partners and specialists in the positioning, planning, development, execution and follow-up of various strategic mandates under your responsibility. Organize, manage and deliver, as needed, orientation work on specific technical subjects requiring consensus from multiple stakeholders.
- Identify and analyze issues. Raise major issues. Establish frameworks and make recommendations to the appropriate bodies and committees.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT, including 5 years in solution architecture.
- Experience in developing solutions based on cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, SaaS)
- Experience in implementing software packages in the financial sector (an asset)
- Expertise in the delivery of integrated application solutions within the framework of agile/cascade projects (Needs analysis, Identification, Estimation, Planning, Implementation/deployment strategy)
- Experience in developing microservices, APIs, Webservices.
- Knowledge of the Life and Health Insurance industry - Individual and Group & Corporate (asset)
- Knowledge of mainframe (asset)
- Strong popularization and writing skills and excellent ability to disseminate technical information
- Demonstrate leadership and initiative
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Team player and collaboration with colleagues
- Rigor, flexibility, autonomy
- French (Mandatory) English (asset)
