JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Objective
The Technical Service Specialist is responsible for performing planned maintenance activities hardware and software upgrades (TSBs) providing backup first-line (Level 1) service and supporting instrument installations and deinstallations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical service to Abbott Ambassadors (service interventions requiring less than 4 hours of labor)
- Schedule and perform planned maintenance (PM) activities
- Execute hardware and software upgrades (Technical Service Bulletins TSBs)
- Support instrument installations and deinstallations
- Contribute to achieving customer satisfaction (NPS) service KPIs and the districts economic growth and profitability
Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
- Bachelors / Engineering degree in medical electrical mechanical engineering or medical technology preferred
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a similar technical service role supported by management and customer references
- Strong customer engagement skills particularly with laboratory staff
- Recognized technical expertise for the assigned product line
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong experience using analytical tools and technical software
