Job Overview
As an HGV Technician you will be responsible for maintaining servicing and repairing heavy goods vehicles. You will work on a range of trucks ensuring safety reliability and compliance with manufacturer standards. The role involves diagnostics mechanical and electrical repairs and collaboration with the service team to keep vehicles operational and clients satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled servicing repairs and fault diagnostics on HGVs
Perform electrical hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting
Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and company standards
Complete accurate service documentation and job records
Report additional repair work or chargeable items to management
Maintain a clean safe and organised workshop environment
Assist colleagues and support smooth workshop operations
Qualifications
Recognised HGV or Commercial Vehicle Technician qualification
Minimum 5 years experience servicing and repairing HGVs
Experience with Renault Fiat MAN or Volvo trucks advantageous
Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment
Truck licence essential
