Coffee Packing & Production Assistant

ROLEOVERVIEW

TheCoffeePacking&ProductionAssistantisanintegralpartofthePonaireroasteryteam supporting the daily production packing and fulfilment operations at our Newport site.

This hands-on role focuses on ensuring coffee products are prepared packed labelled and dispatched accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will prepare customer orders process online web sales maintain quality standards and support the wider productionteam.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

• Packing & OrderFulfilment

• Prepare and pack customer orders accurately andefficiently.

• Pick and pack online web sales orders ensuring all items are correct beforedispatch.

• Pack coffee products including bags boxes and subscriptionorders.

• Check orders against picking lists and customerrequirements.

• Ensure products are correctly labelled sealed and presented to Ponairestandards.

• Prepare wholesale and café orders for collection ordelivery.

PRODUCTION ROOM OPERATIONS

• Supportthedailyrunningoftheproductionroomincludingcoffeepackingweighingandpreparation.

• Operate packing equipment safely andefficiently.

• Assist with grinding portioning and preparing coffee products asrequired.

• Maintain accurate production and packingrecords.

• Ensure coffee products are handled carefully to maintain freshness andquality.

QUALITY CONTROL & STANDARDS

• Carry out checks to ensure products meet Ponaire standards beforedispatch.

• Check packaging labels dates and productpresentation.

• Report quality issues ordiscrepancies.

• Follow correct stock rotationpractices.

STOCK MANAGEMENT & ORGANISATION

• Assist with monitoring packaging and productionsupplies.

• Support stock rotation and organisation of finishedproducts.

• Assist with stock counts and inventorychecks.

HYGIENE SAFETY & EQUIPMENT

• Maintain a clean tidy and safe productionenvironment.

• Follow food safety hygiene and health & safetyprocedures.

• Clean and maintain production and packingequipment.

• Report equipment issuespromptly.

TEAM SUPPORT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Work collaboratively with the roastery and operationsteams.

• Support improvements to packing processes and workflowefficiency.

• Adapt to changing dailypriorities.

LOCATION

ThispositionisbasedatourNewportcaféandroasterysiteatMainStreetNewportCo. Tipperary.

WORKING HOURS

Working hours are 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday

SKILLS &EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

• Strong attention to detail andaccuracy.

• Abilityto work efficiently in a busy productionenvironment.

• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritiseworkload.

• Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of ateam.

• Commitment to quality cleanliness andpresentation.

DESIRABLE

• Previousexperienceinpackingfulfilmentproductionwarehouseorfoodmanufacturingenvironments.

• Experience processing online orders or dispatchoperations.

• Coffee experience is beneficial but notessential.
