Responsible for creating and managing policies

Validate connectivity for newly onboarded users/locations (ping traceroute basic logs).

Check for and respond to user complaints about web access SSL inspection issues slow browsing.

Responsible installation and upgradation of ZCC connectors

Apply approved content categorization or simple policy changes (per change control).

Rapidly diagnose common access issues and implement documented workarounds.

Maintain accurate ticket records and knowledge articles.

Investigate escalated incidents: log analysis packet capture review proxy debug traces.

Implement and test policy changes that require more permissions/understanding.

Configure and maintain forward proxy and GRE/IPsec tunnels; validateZscalerApp (Z App) deployments.

Tune policies based on business needs and analytics.

Review and remediate false positives/negatives for blocked categories and cloud apps.

Perform license and feature usage analysis; recommend adjustments.

Coordinate with vendors (Zscalersupport) for defect tickets and escalations.

Lead routine configuration audits review admin roles API key usage and secrets.

Participate in change advisory board (CAB) for planned policy-rollouts.

Create/maintain advanced runbooks troubleshooting playbooks and onboarding guides.

Areas of responsibility

Monitoring and Incident Detection-Analyse attack trends and correlate logs across systems to identify advance threats. Enhance monitoring processes and implement improvements for faster detection to ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory standards.

Incident Handling and Analysis-Perform root cause analysis create incident response plans and implement disaster recovery measures to minimize business disruption

Threat Assessment and Analytics-Undertake forensic analysis using advanced analytics tools and implement mitigation measures to align with compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination and Audit Assistance-Liaise with cross functional teams external vendors and auditors to ensure compliance with security frameworks.

Maintain audit documentation and ensure its accuracy while implementing processes that support audit readiness and continuous compliance.

Training and Awareness-Assist in creating and delivering cybersecurity awareness sessions including guidance on phishing and malicious emails.
