Job Summary

Workforce Planning & Demand Management

  • Own end-to-end workforce planning activities aligned with business growth project pipeline and delivery commitments.
  • Analyze current and future demand requirements across technologies skills locations and experience levels.
  • Partner with Delivery and Practice teams to forecast resource demand and identify potential supply gaps.
  • Maintain demand fulfillment pipeline and ensure timely closure of open requirements.
  • Drive proactive workforce planning through demand forecasting capacity analysis and talent readiness assessment.

2. Resource Allocation & Utilization Management

  • Manage allocation and deployment of IT professionals across projects accounts and business units.
  • Drive optimum utilization of available workforce through effective resource deployment.
  • Monitor billability utilization bench percentage and resource aging metrics.
  • Identify underutilized resources and create action plans for redeployment skill enhancement or project alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with workforce allocation policies and governance processes.

3. Bench Management & Talent Optimization

  • Own strategic bench management initiatives to minimize idle capacity.
  • Develop structured engagement plans for available resources including:
    • Skill assessment
    • Upskilling programs
    • Project readiness initiatives
    • Internal mobility opportunities
  • Establish governance for bench aging risk identification and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to create targeted competency development programs.
  • Promote internal fulfillment before external hiring.

4. Demand Fulfillment & Hiring Governance

  • Drive internal fulfillment of project requirements through available talent pools.
  • Review skill match between demand requirements and available resources.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition for external hiring only after exhausting internal supply options.
  • Support hiring decisions through workforce analytics skill availability and business priorities.
  • Track recruitment turnaround time hiring effectiveness and fulfillment SLA adherence.

5. Skills & Competency Management

  • Maintain visibility of critical technology skills across the organization.
  • Partner with Practice Heads and SMEs to build skill taxonomy and competency frameworks.
  • Identify future skill requirements based on technology trends and business strategy.
  • Drive skill gap analysis and workforce readiness initiatives.
  • Support creation of talent pools for emerging technologies.

6. Workforce Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain workforce dashboards covering:
    • Headcount
    • Utilization
    • Billability
    • Bench percentage
    • Demand fulfillment
    • Open requirements
    • Aging analysis
    • Skill availability
    • Internal vs External fulfillment
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for workforce optimization.
  • Identify trends risks and opportunities through data-driven analysis.

7. Governance & Process Management

  • Define and implement Workforce Management processes SOPs and governance mechanisms.
  • Ensure adherence to resource allocation deallocation extension and demand management processes.
  • Conduct regular workforce reviews with stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

Professional Experience

  • 8-12 years of experience in Workforce Management Resource Management Delivery Operations or Talent Supply Chain within IT services.
  • Experience managing large-scale technology workforce pools.
  • Strong understanding of IT delivery models including T&M Fixed Price Projects Managed Services and Support engagements.
  • Experience working with global delivery teams and multiple business stakeholders.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT technologies skill landscapes and project delivery models.
  • Proficiency in workforce analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience with resource management platforms ERP systems and dashboards.
  • Strong Excel Power BI or analytics capability preferred.
  • Ability to interpret workforce data and provide actionable insights.

Role Objective
