We are looking for a detail-orientedAutomationVoice Test Engineer to lead and execute manual and automated testing of voice and data protocols. This role involves validating telecom features writing test plans and ensuring high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and/or automated testing of voice protocols on ONTs OLTs and modems.
- Develop and maintain test scripts using Python Robot Framework or Abacus.
- Write test cases prepare test plans and execute regression and release testing.
- Debug and validate issues in collaboration with development teams.
- Contributes to continuous improvement of test processes and tools.
Voice-Specific Technologies & Responsibilities:
- Manual & Automated Testing of SIP MGCP H.248: Validate voice protocol implementations on ONTs OLTs and modems.
- IPTV (IGMP) SS7 DOCSIS: Testinglegacy telephony and cable modem technologies.
- Test Automation Frameworks: Develop and maintain test scripts using Python Robot Framework and Abacus scripting.
- Test Equipment: Use tools like Ameritec FortissimoAbacusSpirent Test Center and Wireshark.
- Release Planning & Test Documentation: Write test plans and execute test cases.
- Field Simulation & Debugging: Reproduce customer-reported issues in lab environments.
Required Skills:
- Experience in voice protocol testing: SIP MGCP H.248.
- Familiarity with IPTV (IGMP) SS7 DOCSIS and network protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Wireshark Jira BambooAbacusAmeritec Spirent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Networking and Voice technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
- Leadership experience or interest in mentoring junior testers.
- Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Computer Science or related field.
